About Our BusinessAssociation President's Comments I am honored to accept the position of President and Chair of the Board of The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association. I am proud to serve this association that has achieved excellence in providing programs and activities that enable senior in all walks of life to remain in their homes with reasonable independence and quality of life. My pledge is to direct the Board in ensuring that the Association's mandate of assisting seniors at the highest level is maintained, and to provide guidance and support as required to the Executive Director The Association, through the Executive Director, has operated in a highly efficient manner, assisting seniors to remain happy and independent. It is recognized in the Province of Ontario as a leader in health care support. Important attention is paid to being informed with current and changing legislation and with procedural changes that can and will affect health care funding and support opportunities for seniors. The employees of the Association who meet seniors on a daily basis are informed, cheerful and patient. Their attitude at all times is one of listening and reacting in a helpful manner. In addition, an active group of approximately 500 volunteers is a valuable resource in providing ongoing support activities. An important goal is to ensure all seniors who have need of assistance, and their supporters, are fully aware of the services provided. I urge all potential clients to contact the office to learn of the programs being offered and to discuss individual needs. Let us continue to work together to ensure a healthful and comfortable senior living style in our community.
