Joyce Willard (Volunteer) I spend one day a week at the Community Care office doing reception work for the foot care clinic. And I love it. It’s just a great, great place to spend the day and it’s very rewarding for me.

Gilbert Provost (Volunteer) I drive patients to their medical appointments, it’s very satisfying to see the way they suddenly lighten up and it’s almost like they are becoming more alive.

Pauline Joicey (Volunteer) I like the opportunity of being able to help the people who may not otherwise be able to get a good meal or maybe not able to get out and meet people.

Ralph Chantirill (Volunteer) Even the minimal amount of effort that we put into it appears to go quite a long way.

May Chantrill (Volunteer) If there’s any regret at all it’s the fact that we didn’t get involved sooner. I feel that we take a lot too because it allowed us to meet other similar people.

Karen Bode When we moved here we knew no one. Absolutely no one. Volunteering for Community Care has given me the opportunity to meet some of the people who live here, not only the seniors but also some of the volunteers. And we’re just like a family, we just thoroughly enjoy each other, we keep in touch. I have a circle of friend from working at Community Care that I didn’t have before.

Joyce Willard (Volunteer) It’s very rewarding. I think everyone that has the time should do some volunteer work because it is a rewarding, rewarding thing to do. And it doesn’t cost you anything, just your time.
