Prince Edward Community Care Gets a Funding Boost

Doug Galt, MPP announced today increased funding for community support agencies. The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association was on the list of agencies to receive increased funding. Responding to the announcement, Genny Vincent, Vice Chair of the Prince Edward Community Care board of directors said “Prince Edward Community Care has only received a 3% funding increase to our base subsidy in the last eleven years. We are pleased to have the increased funding so that we can support more seniors in this county to stay living at home.”

Executive Director, Debbie Moynes, commented that the funding will make it possible for Community Care to hire an additional staff member and to increase the profile of the agency in the community.
