A COMPLETE RESOURCE FOR ASSISTING SENIORS IN PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY IS NOW AVAILABLE
The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association has published the latest issue of its Information for Seniors Directory.
The information in this directory can assist seniors, their families and caregivers in finding
resources to help seniors maintain their independence and stay in their homes.
The printing of the fourteenth edition of the Prince Edward County Information for Seniors Directory was made possible by funding from New Horizons for Seniors, a program of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.
“New editions of the directory have always been welcomed by the seniors in this community because they find it to be such a handy reference for all kinds of services” says Debbie MacDonald Moynes, executive director. “We’re grateful for the New Horizons funding that made this edition possible.”
This directory is available for free at the Community Care for Seniors offices in The Armoury, 206 Main Street, in Picton. Seniors and their caregivers are encouraged to stop in and pick up a copy of this valuable resource.
The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association offers services such as Meals on Wheels, transportation to medical appointments, noon-time dinners for seniors, foot care, help with forms (including Income Tax), respite, home maintenance, rural route reassurance and telephone reassurance programs. The agency is partly funded by the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care through the Local Health Integration Network and supported by donations and community fundraising efforts, such as Community Care’s Thrift Shop at 281 Main Street.
