Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association has a brand new web site, full of about what its volunteers do and what services it provides to the county.
The website was unveiled at the association’s annual meeting on June 27. The board of directors recognized that with more county residents using the Internet, both Community Care and the public would benefit from a solid informative website.
A collaboration between Community Care’s executive director, Debbie Moynes, and Infolink’s Anne VanVlack has resulted in a comprehensive presentation of what the not-for-profit organization aspires to, and how people can use such resources.
As well, there are sections for those who might wish to donate some time as volunteers to specific projects (with a check-off list for activities and locations) and a membership component for both personal and corporate donors.
The Services heading describes those facilities available to seniors or older adults in need of help. Some are free, some have a nominal charge.
There are also headings recognizing the contributions of our individual volunteers over the past years, and listings of coming events.
Check it out. Even board members who are lacking computer skills have found the website easy to explore.
