Active Living Programs for January for seniors 60+ available 5 days/week
Seniors 60+ are invited to get active, make friends, be well! Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In January, the Zoom webinar topics include “Dementia Friendly Communities” with Melissa Whalen, Public Education Co-ordinator with the Alzheimer Society Hastings Prince Edward; “Stroke Awareness” with Lorraine Pyle, Stroke Support Services Co-ordinator with Community Care for South Hastings; “The Big Freeze” with Terry Sprague, Naturalist; “Healing with Horses” with Suzanne Latchford-Kulker, Founder & Executive Director of Heal with Horses Therapeutic Centre; and “Bingo” with Community Care staff. Community Care will also offer “Trivia” over the phone. In person events include a “Stronger U Fitness Series” with Fitness Powers, and a hybrid (attend in-person or online) “Craft-Tea Afternoon” with staff from Community Care.
